WELCOME TO HASWELL THERAPY
Reason for coming
Clients come because they value the opportunity to talk in a confidential, comfortable and safe environment here in Covent Garden. I know this may be your first experience of therapy and you may not know what to expect and that can be quite scary. I aim help you feel at ease so you can explore what has been troubling you.
The experience of talking with a therapist differs from talking to family, friends or loved ones; with a counsellor or psychotherapist you can say exactly what you feel without fear of hurting or upsetting those you care about. Experience shows that through the expression of sometimes difficult thoughts and feelings a situation can be better understood.
I’m an experienced therapist who aims to listen actively and practice with honesty and compassion. My purpose is not to judge: rather, to seek to clarify and illuminate your concerns by engaging in a frank and questioning dialogue. An analytic yet caring relationship is what our clients find most helpful.
Finally, I aim to for you and with you. You choose whether to introduce a life experience maybe never before discussed with anyone. You choose whether to try any particular technique or approach. Together we explore what you find helpful and therapeutic; we recognize that only when you truly feel our relationship is respectful, confidential and understanding will you achieve what you hope for in therapy.
I offer short term counselling and longer-term psychotherapy. Appointments are available Monday to Friday, mornings, afternoons and evenings.
Typically our sessions take place weekly and last for 50 minutes, but a variety of timescale's are catered for so please enquire to discuss your preferences. ! recognize that everyone has a unique schedule and will want to tailor appointment times to suit.
We can explore situations related to any aspect of your personal life and relationships, your working life, or your social life. Therapy or counselling could be helpful if you want to:

Psychotherapy or personal counselling with a psychotherapist, is an intentional interpersonal relationship used by trained psychotherapists to aid a client or patient in problems of living.
It aims to increase the individual's sense of their own well-being. Psychotherapists employ a range of techniques based on experiential relationship building, dialogue, communication and behaviour change and that are designed to improve the mental health of a client or patient, or to improve group relationships (such as in a family).
